Jetpack

Jetpack features Sharing, Spelling and Grammar, Comments, Subscriptions, a Contact Form, Gravatar Hovercards, Shortcode Embeds, Extra Sidebar Widgets, Custom CSS and much more (for a full list of all Jetpack has to offer, click on the following link to view the software’s
about page. Any site running WordPress 3.1 or later can make use of Jetpack, plus it is now compatible with WordPress 3.6 which is expected out early next week as Lead Developer Mark Jaquith and his team put the final touches on features.

WordPress.com premium subscribers already have all of Jetpack’s functionality available to them without downloading any additional software. However, many self-hosted website owners wish to make use of services such as WordPress.com Stats, Publicize and others – this is where Jetpack comes in. The plugin is 100% free to download and use on one’s WordPress website, and can go a long way toward giving beginning webmasters all the tools they need to successfully run their very first website without having to manually go into the code Editor and alter it.
